Why 2013 is The Year of Video ….
News Flash! Video snippets continue to dominate Google search results! When you google something, the default results page you see is actually called the Google Universal Search – and it’s a blend of websites, map listings, news stories, images, videos, and more. What we’re saying is that more than half of all those search results contain videos!
What does this mean to you and your business? A well placed YouTube video can out-rank a huge and powerful website that’s been established for years – especially if your content is of the how-to or informational type. This also means that if you’re not doing video, you can spend a fortune optimizing your website and still miss out.
This year, according to Cisco (the computer networking people), video will account for 90% of all consumer traffic online. They forecast global internet traffic to reach 2/3 of a zettabyte. How much is a zettabyte? It’s a trillion gigabytes! And the majority of that will come from people watching and uploading videos.
